Avalon Natural Resin Hard Oil is an oil for impregnating all types of wood and cork indoors. Particularly suitable for heavily used surfaces. Yellowish, non-absorbent, deeply impregnating oil for wood. Highly absorbent surfaces become slightly darker. Tools should be cleaned with Avalon Verdünnung. The quality meets German woodworking standards.
Composition
Quick-drying vegetable oils, wood resins, isoparaffin, lead-free drying agents. The material does not contain essential oils.
Shade
Transparent, colorless, slightly yellow. Without polishing, the surface is silky shiny.
Application
By brush, roller, spray or immersion. The room and surface temperature must be at least +15ºC.
Consumption
For one coat, approximately 60-80 ml/m², or approximately 12-17 m² with 1 liter, for well-absorbing surfaces. If the product is applied too much, it must be removed, as the drying time will be significantly extended and the visual appearance of the surface will be damaged.
Drying time
At 23ºC and 50% relative humidity, the drying time is approximately 6-8 hours, the drying time is approximately 16-24 hours. Good ventilation of the room is required for drying. Therefore, to ensure the circulation of stagnant air and to avoid the formation of odors, use a fan. The final degree of hardening is after 4 weeks.
Dilution and cleaning
The oil should be used undiluted. Tools should be cleaned with Avalon solvent.
Storage
Store in dry, well-ventilated areas at a temperature between 15 °C and 25 °C. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Store tightly closed.
In original, tightly closed packaging for at least 5 years.
Instructions and safety recommendations
In combination with flammable materials, the product may spontaneously ignite. Therefore, used rags that have been soaked in oil should be soaked in water, hung to dry and thrown away in a container. Wear a protective mask when working with oil. Natural products should also be stored out of the reach of children. Do not pour product residues into groundwater or sewage. Stir the product thoroughly before use.
Processing instructions
Substrate preparation
For optimal results, follow the technical information of all products used. The surface must be firm, dry, free of dust and grease. Sand the surface with 100-180 grit sandpaper, depending on the wood being treated.
Treating new surfaces
Even impregnation of the surface is achieved by applying oil. Apply the first coat quite generously. After about 20 minutes, spread the oil that has not been absorbed evenly over the entire surface, and apply another coat of oil on dry areas. After another 30 minutes, carefully remove the layer of oil that has not been absorbed into the wood, if any. Then let the oil dry for 16-24 hours. Repeat this process until the surface no longer absorbs the oil.
Surface restoration
Remove the old layer of oil and wax from the surface with Avalon soap concentrate. Then, follow the same steps as when treating a new surface.
Safety instructions
Keep out of reach of children. Even when working with materials that contain insignificant amounts of harmful substances, it is necessary to follow generally accepted occupational safety regulations.
