SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer – alcohol-based primer

SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer is an impregnating quickly drying plastic primer for roller or brush application based on alcohol. SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer is suitable for most exotic wood species and insulates their wood extractives to a great extent. Wax residues contained inside of the joints of old floors are also insulated. SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer can be recoated with any of our solvent-based finishes as well as with most released AquaSeal finishes. SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer preserves the natural color of the wood. Application
Applied rich and evenly in one coat by roller or brush. Problematic substrates should be coated with a flat brush in order to improve penetration. When used on highly absorbent substrates (eg beech), SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer must be rolled 2 times.
It is important to ensure a particularly uniform application, so that light-dark discoloration can be avoided.

Drying
At 23°C/50% rel. humidity 1 roller/brush coat: approx. 45-60 min. per coat.
Insufficient ventilation, low temperatures high humidity or increased coat thickness may delay drying considerably.
Further sealing with the released AquaSeal water-based finishes can only be done after complete drying, as otherwise optical impairments are possible. Drying overnight is recommended. The product must be sealed after 24 h at the latest.

Consumption
Depending on substrate and working method, 1 roller/brush coat: approx. 110-120 ml/m2 resp. approx. 8-10 m2/l.
With strongly absorbent substrates, a significantly higher consumption is possible.

Restriction of use
SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer should not be used for floors with extremely strong traffic in conjunction with vibrating structures (e.g., sports floors).

Storage / transport
Shelf life of original unopened packing min. 15 months provided that material is transported and stored at a cool and dry place.

Store in a dry, well-ventilated place at a temperature between 15 ° C and 25 ° C. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Keep tightly closed.
