BergerBond Primer D- low emission primer on the basis of high-quality synthetic resin dispersions

Bergerbond Primer D is a low-emission primer on the basis of high-quality synthetic resin dispersions for use under our BergerBond adhesives. The concentrated supply form allows a universal application as a primer to adjust the absorbency of substrates, as a primer and moisture protection before putty work and as an elastification additive of our PeraPlan fillers.

Special notes
Do not use BergerBond Primer D in conditions below + 15°C or above 65% rel. humidity. In the cold season adhesive, primer and flooring elements should be given time to reach the same temperature.
Application
Thoroughly shake BergerBond Primer D before using. Depending on the method of use, dilute with water.
Undiluted application on all dense substrates such as ceramic tiles, chipboard panels, wooden substrates.
In a mixture of 1:1 with water on calcium sulphate-bound substrates for subsequent leveling and on cementitious leveling compounds.
When applying the primer on calcium sulphate-bound substrates, you must continue working with a filler suitable for parquets before starting parquet bonding.
In a mixture of 1:3 with water on cement screeds.
When applying the primer with the roller, the brush or a rubber wiper take care to spread it evenly. Don’t allow puddles to build up!
Depending on the ability of the substrate to absorb, it may be necessary to apply it twice.
Elastification of putties
In addition to water, 1 l Bergerbond Primer D should be added to 25 kg filler in consultation with the application technology department.
Consumption
50-100 g/m² (400-800 sf/gal), depending on the absorbenc

of the substrate.

Drying
cement substrates:

approx. 10 min.
non-absorbent or slightly absorbent substrates:

approx. 15-30 min.
wooden substrates and chipboards:

approx. 4 h
cement fillers on calcium sulphate-bound substrates:

approx. 24 h
Before further processing of the soil, the primer must be dry!
All data are based on standard climate (23°C/50% rel. humidity).
If the conditions differ from this standard, the times will differ too!
