Avalon Naturhaz Hartöl Spezial – natural oil with wax

Hard-wearing and water repellent finishing coat. For the open-pored top coating of wood and other surfaces treated with Hard Oil, especially for areas exposed to intense wear and tear and for high-quality furniture treatment. Water vapour permeable, resistant to scratches. Tested in respect of  functional properties of wood lacquer and wood varnishes for interior surfaces according to DIN 68861. Migration behaviour tested according to DIN EN 71, part 3.

Colour 

Transparent, colourless to slightly yellow. Silk effect without polish.

Ingredients

Linseed oil-wood oil-stand oil, castor oil-natural resin ester, natural resin ester, wood oil-stand oil, isoparaffins, alumina, micro wax, silicic acid, drying agents. The VOC content of this product is 540 g/l. EU limit value max 700 g/l (class “f” 2010).

Application 

By brush, roller or spraying. Ambient and surface temperature must be higher than +15°C. Stir well before use!

Drying time

At 20°C and 50 – 55% relative humidity dust dry after approx. 10 – 12 hours. Fully dry after 16 – 24 hours. It is essential to provide adequate ventilation during the drying process!

Packaging and consumption

Approx. 10 – 30  ml/m2 per coat – first coat approx. 17 m² per 1 liter. Apply sparingly to avoid delays or problems within the drying process!

Packaging: 0.25l for 12,5 m², 0.75l for 37,5 m², 2.5l for 125 m², 10l for 500 m²

Storage 

Under cool and dry conditions. Close lid tightly when not in use. Shelf-life of unopened container 5 years.

Disposal

According to locally regulated laws. European Waste Catalogue (EWC) 08 01 11.

Cleaning up 

Product is adjusted ready for application. Clean equipments immediately after use with oil solvent Avalon.

Surface care

See oiled and waxed floor care instructions. With Avalon floor milk and Avalon soap concentrate (see product technical instructions).

Precautionary statements 

Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children. IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Do NOT induce vomiting. Avoid release to the environment.
Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations.
Always be sure to store cleaning cloth, polishing pads, sponges, etc. that are still wet or even slightly moist with product in an airtight metal container or in water and dispose, as there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content in the product.
The product alone will not undergo spontaneous combustion. A typical smell may arise due to the natural raw materials. During sanding wear mask against respirable dust.
